It’s past time to remind these tyrannical politicians exactly who they work for. They’re forgetting they exist at the consent of the governed.

A new bill has been proposed in Congress that could force travelers to show either proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative COVID-19 test to travel by air domestically before the holidays.
With Thanksgiving coming up, we are headed into one of the busiest times to fly, and Democrats are ready to take advantage of this with a new bill.

“We can’t allow upcoming holiday air travel to contribute to another surge in COVID cases,” tweeted Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA). “Today, I introduced legislation requiring passengers on domestic flights to be vaccinated, test negative, or be fully recovered from a previous COVID illness.”

Willis Orlando, a Flight Expert at Scott’s Cheap Flights, responded by giving his thoughts on the proposed legislation.
“If it were to become law, it really would just be kind of adding restrictions in the U.S. that already exist elsewhere in the world and that have been working pretty well to contain COVID,” Orlando told ABC6. “I really don’t see any way where it would be a big problem, although passengers may be a little bit upset based on what we’ve seen in the past in the U.S.”
“Airlines are doing not only what they can to protect themselves and their passengers but also their reputation too,” added Orlando, referring to the vaccine mandates that have been put in place for employees by airlines like United.
“I actually feel the most safe flying internationally,” said Albert Hsieh, who is the Founder and CEO of Foxtrot Dash, a travel company that encourages smart points spending.
Hsieh went on to describe a recent flight he took to San Francisco, saying, “I empathize with the flight attendants on board. She had to enforce masks at least a dozen times, you know, kind of walking up and down the aisle.”
Both Orlando and Hsieh agreed that travelers would likely continue to resist COVID rules, probably leading to more fights with flight attendants.
“You’re choosing to do something optional, you don’t have to get on that plane, if you’re going to get on that plane, follow the airline’s rules and remember give the flight attendants a little bit of grace, they are working very, very hard right now,” said Orlando, with Hsieh adding, “Anything we can do to continue to encourage travel in the most comfortable and safe way I think is really important for everybody.”

Orlando and Hsieh may see no issue with the new legislation being proposed by Feinstein, but we certainly do. Americans should not be forced to get a shot or take a COVID test to travel within their own country.
This nonsense really has gone way too far.
